Supporting Students to Persist and Graduate

One of the most significant challenges facing education and business is the development of a diverse talent pipeline.

MOCAN’s completion pillar focuses on strengthening that pipeline by building the capacity of higher education professionals so more students from low-income communities and students of color have the support they need to persist and graduate.

Grounded in data and research, MOCAN develops Student Success Learning Institutes on high-impact practices proven to improve student outcomes.

We provide professional development, training, and resources for administrators, practitioners, and students working in our partner and collaborative institutions and organizations.

Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation (TRHT)

MOCAN is the only nonprofit organization designated as a Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation (TRHT) Campus Center by the American Association of Colleges & Universities.

Our TRHT work strengthens institutions and builds a professional ecosystem through:

  • Leadership institutes for campus administrative leaders and students
  • Community Within the Network, creating an ecosystem of access and success practitioners
  • Brotherhood Leadership Academies, supporting the leadership development of men of color in education

Boniface Scholars Postsecondary Success Initiative

The Boniface Initiative is a three-year partnership with the Boniface Foundation in St. Louis to increase persistence and graduation rates for students in partner middle schools, college access organizations, and higher education institutions.
