Dr. Robyn Walter

Robyn Walter has 21 years’ experience in higher education and has served as Vice President of Academic Affairs at Central College (ECC) since 2018. She oversees all academic programs, articulations, learning support, library, and educational technology. In addition, Dr. Walter serves as the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) Accreditation Liaison Officer for ECC and is an HLC Peer Reviewer. Robyn serves on the Committee on Transfer and Articulation (COTA) for the Missouri Department of Higher Education & Workforce Development, and as a member and chair of the Chief Academic Officer Council of the Missouri Community College Association. Robyn served on the steering committee of the Missouri Adult Learner Network in support of Missouri’s Sixty for All plan in support of adult learners. She has developed new and expanded programming and partnerships at the main campus and the Rolla location. Dr. Walter has particular interest in assessment for student learning, student engagement, and persistence.
She joined East Central College in 2003 as the nursing program administrator and faculty and then Dean of Health Sciences. Robyn previously worked as a health services consultant on quality improvement accreditation and management, and as a nurse in clinical settings. She holds an MSN in Nursing from St. Louis University and a PhD in Nursing from the University of Missouri – Kansas City.
