Director of Human Resources

Dr. Tony Robinson is the Director of Human Resources of the Independence School District. Dr. Robinson has been in education for over 26 years. He previously served as superintendent of the Sikeston R-6 school district. He has served as a history teacher, assistant principal, director of secondary, and deputy superintendent of secondary. Dr. Robinson grew up in St. Louis County and has worked in several school districts in the St. Louis area. Dr. Robinson served on the SEMO Foodbank Board as well as various civic and nonprofit organizations. Dr. Robinson is focused and passionate about providing exceptional learning experiences for students that prepare them for careers and college. He has implemented programs and developed partnerships in schools and districts that provide students with rigorous learning experiences and real-world work experiences. Dr. Robinson is honored to serve as a Board member.
