Ayanna is a dedicated member of the inaugural team of KCCAN College and Career Advisors and will be serving at Lincoln College Preparatory Academy, her alma mater. She earned a bachelor's degree in Educational Studies from the University of Missouri, supported by the Kauffman Scholars Inc. Scholarship. During her undergraduate studies, Ayanna supported high school students in English subjects as a student teacher for Columbia Public Schools. Her career in college access began with the Missouri College Advising Corps, where she served Northeast High School. Ayanna then advanced to the role of Senior College Advisor with the Hispanic Development Fund, where she spent three years providing college advising to students from Northeast and expanding her services to schools and communities throughout the greater Kansas City metropolitan area.
