Workshop Title: Advising College Bound Student Athletes
Workshop Description: High school students planning to pursue athletics and athletic scholarships at the collegiate level must be aware of academic and other eligibility requirements. Counselors must also be aware of these requirements. In this workshop, counselors and advisors will:
- Understand how to best support your college-bound student athletes
- Understand the eligibility standards for NCAA/NAIA and JUCO including the counselor’s role in the process
- Review changes in the eligibility process
- Review resources available to counselors and discuss several student scenarios
Who Should Attend? This workshop is designed for high school counselors, college/career advisors, and athletic directors who are both new and experienced professionals.
