DESCRIPTION:Workshop Title:  College Application Storytelling After SFAA v. Harvard \nWorkshop Description: Students for Fair Admissions v Harvard didn’t just eliminate race-based affirmative action from college admissions\, but created a framework for how students must talk about their identity across the whole application. During this presentation we will: \n\nExplain the Supreme Court and the Office for Civil Rights’ approaches to storytelling on the college application\nOffer counselors concrete\, ready-to-use tools for teaching students how to create their applications\nInstruction not just on what should go in the application but how to actually do it\n\nPresenter: Dr. Stephen Himes of Storyboards College Admission Portfolio \nDr. Himes has a J.D./Ed.D with an emphasis in Civil Rights in Education Law. As a member of the Education Law Association\, he presents nationwide on how Supreme Court decisions like SFFA v.
