SUMMARY:PDI: Advising College-Bound Student Athletes (Virtual)
DESCRIPTION:High school students planning to pursue athletics and athletic scholarships at the collegiate level must be aware of academic and other eligibility requirements. Counselors must also be aware of these requirements. In this workshop\, counselors and advisors will: \n\nUnderstand how to best support your college-bound student athletes\,\nUnderstand the eligibility standards for NCAA/NAIA and JUCO including the counselor’s role in the process\,\nReview challenges faced during and after the pandemic and changes with the eligibility process as a result\, and\nReview resources available to counselors and discuss several student scenarios\n\nRegister for Advising College-Bound Student Athletes
