SUMMARY:Postsecondary Equity Network Workshop: Purpose First with Complete College America
DESCRIPTION:Postsecondary Equity Network (PEN) is pleased to host an interactive\, in-person workshop with Complete College America! \nIn this interactive workshop\, institutional leaders will learn how to develop plans to integrate career and academic advising using CCA’s Purpose First Model. This framework guides students toward selection of a major and completion of credits aligned with career goals. This workshop is specifically designed to support BILPOC (Black\, Indigenous\, Latinx\, People of Color) and students from low-income backgrounds. \nParticipants will also learn how to apply to the Purpose First Pilot Project\, an exciting three-year initiative where a cohort of institutions will receive individualized coaching from CCA and mini-grants to support their Purpose First plans. \nParticipation in the June 10 workshop is limited to teams of 3 people per institution and should include student success decision-makers\, academic and career advisors\, TRIO and DEI leaders. \nRegister for June 10th Summer Institute \nInvitations with more details have been emailed to institutional contacts.
