DESCRIPTION:Postsecondary Equity Network partner institutions are invited to join MOCAN and Complete College America for our year one summer institute! \nThe Purpose First framework empowers students to make informed\, early choices of majors and programs of study\, building early academic momentum and ultimately increasing their likelihood of success and completion. At the Summer Institute we’ll share lessons from the first year of the MOCAN Purpose First initiative with 10 colleges and discuss strategies for integrating career and academic advising. \nParticipation is free and required for MOCAN Purpose First partner institutions. SUMMARY:Guided Pathways Summer Institute for Community Colleges
DESCRIPTION:Join MOCAN\, MCCA and Complete College America for a one-day summer institute on guided pathways! \nGuided Pathways is a proven model for improving student navigation and completion\, but faithful implementation requires cross-departmental collaboration and support from state agencies. This convening is designed to support community colleges interested in implementing the guided pathways model more robustly. \nParticipation is FREE and open to colleagues from community colleges in Missouri. \nParticipating institutions should send teams from academic affairs\, student affairs\, career services\, faculty\, and diversity/equity/inclusion. \nWe will be joined by Dr. Davis Jenkins\, Senior Research Scholar at the Community College Research Center at Teachers College\, Columbia University\, as well as national and state community college leaders. \nParticipants will have time to work within function areas\, and as institutional teams\, so they walk away with an action plan to strengthen their guided pathways approach. \nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER by June 1st. \nFor more information\, contact Trent at tball@mocollegecareer.org
